A teenage boy has been punished to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 16-year period for the murder of fellow pupil the victim during a midday recess.

The perpetrator stabbed the victim, similarly fifteen, into the chest with a weapon at the city's educational institution in the second month.

The presiding justice removed the anonymity limitation on the defendant during the judgment at Sheffield Crown Court.

"You served as the instigator and... you behaved in hurt and anger at what you regarded to be his treachery of your relationship," pronounced the justice during the punishment phase.

The educational institution issued a message stating that the pupil was "greatly mourned every day by the complete learning environment".
