The carrier to provide no-cost quick onboard wifi via satellite deal

Passengers aboard this carrier are set to enjoy high-speed wifi during flights at no cost following a major deal involving the billionaire's satellite firm.

British Airways announced that the no-cost, “quick and reliable” wifi provision through the satellite provider is set to be available to passengers flying economy, premium economy, and premium cabins from the coming month.

Broad Rollout Over Several Airlines

The holding company for BA, International Airlines Group, announced it had reached an agreement involving Starlink to offer connectivity coverage for 500-plus planes within their carriers, including Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, and Vueling.

British Airways noted that the introduction for the system was included in a £7bn “modernization” program that will offer lag-free internet access for travelers starting at the gate to landing, also when they are flying above seas or far-off locations.
